ACL CIS is a compliant, robust and reliable contracting option for individuals that want to work on a self-employed basis in the in the UK Construction Industry. To enjoy these benefits you must register for CIS status with HM Revenue & Customs. To do this please call the CIS helpline on 0300 200 3210. If you are already registered you must provide us with your UTR number (Unique Taxpayers Reference), it is also the first 10 digits of the number of your CIS card.
Being self-employed through ACL is easy, provides peace of mind and gives you the freedom to manage your own affairs. You can choose when and where to work, leaving us to deal with the headache of CIS. You will still be responsible for completing an annual self-assessment tax return and paying any national insurance contributions that are due.
ACL enters into a contract for the supply of services with your clients and invoices them for those services. From the monies we receive we retain a margin of;
£2.00 per week up to the first £50.00 gross pay
£6.00 per week between £51.00 and £100.00 gross pay
£8.50 per week between £101.00 and £150.00
£15.00 per week between £151.00 and £250.00 gross pay
£17.00 per week for gross pay above £251.00
All our subcontractors have access to our public liability insurance cover at a cost of £1.50 per week. Should you have your own insurance there is no charge, however, we will require proof of insurance.
